Nathan’s Pawtucket mayoral campaign has three main pillars.

He has a focus of economic growth, strong schools, and public safety.  He says that, “I truly believe a city, a community, will thrive with a growing economy, solid, stable schools and safe streets.”

Economic Growth

Nathan has a plan to see actual economic growth come to the city of Pawtucket. “I have lived in Pawtucket for 14 years and I have watched too many businesses leave over that time. I have observed the challenges and difficulties placed before businesses, discouraging them from coming to Pawtucket.” Nathan Luciano believes the city needs to invite more businesses to the city. This plan will

  • Relieve the tax burden from private property owners
  • Spread the tax burden across the property owners and businesses
  • Cultivate a business friendly environment in the city for both small and large businesses
  • Amplify small businesses-the backbone of our community
  • Identify and develop opportunities for large businesses to locate in Pawtucket, further easing the tax burden from private property owners.

Strong Schools

Nathan is thankful that Pawtucket has hard working teachers and administrators in our  schools. He plans to come alongside the teachers, administrators, and community families to support them in their varied needs. Nathan understands that education is vital for the community to have a future.  Having two daughters has given Nathan the inspiration to run for Mayor. He wants to see the city improve for his children –  to leave Pawtucket a better place for all the children in the city. The future adults of Pawtucket need someone in leadership who will fight to give them a chance to thrive. “I look forward to coming along side our current staff and supporting them, helping them continue to educate and empower our children.”

Public Safety

Public safety is also a top priority for Nathan’s plan for Pawtucket. Residents want to live in areas where it is safe to raise children, walk their pets, meet with their friends, and enjoy a social life. Nathan is committed to funding and supporting the police department and emergency services, expanding training, keeping the teams modernized and strong. Nathan believes that building relationships between communities and public safety is vital to enhance job performance and community safety.

Nathan is committed to cultivating a stronger local economy, healthier schools and safe neighborhoods so that Pawtucket is a growing, thriving, and desirable community.
